This is the first time I've taken that many raven pictures inside the park (Grizzly & Wolf doesn't count). The majority of my ravens portraits have been in the Petrified Forest in Arizona.
They were so cute! And they didn't fly away. Wanted to make a quick stop just to get pictures of the mountain side, because it looks neat and I don't think I've gotten pictures of it before... and then ravens were found. So what would have been maybe a 5 minute at max stop, turned into a ~30 minute stop... Sat down for a while and observed them being adorable and all. There was some yawning from the ravens, some vocalization, some allopreening, investigation of the car, some freaking out because a dog was near and just overall adorableness.
And then some Clark's nutcrackers were found. They were chasing after some grasshoppers in the Madison valley.
Some bison were seen along with some elk and prognhorn and some skiddish chipmunks and tree squirrels.
Also this weekend was the last visit to the Idaho Falls zoo. They're a seasonal zoo that closes for the winter time. They'll re-open in April something.
And yes I'm soo putting off studying for my mammalogy exam.

Needless to say I took more pictures of them than I did the mountain face.
