So of course when I decided that I need to visit Portland...it rains...it also affirms my reason for LEAVING the city in the first place!
I'll be attending The Wildlife Society conference in Portland next week. In addition to that they're holding a photo contest. I'll be entering 7 pictures... all of which I think are on DA right now oddly enough.
&
for Birds (Was going to go with a chickadee, but the mounting looked funny and I found a scratch on the print...I've wasted enough time and effort with the printer...it hates me)
&
for Mammals:thumb261166347: & :thumb267799804: for Landscapes
for Amphibians (also grouped with reptiles, invertebrates and fish, yeah huge category so it's mean if you have a handful of pictures for each of those animals)So it will be three days of madness since there are a lot of talks that may be really interesting. Also there may be time to visit a few zoos along the way. And I can see some of my Portland friends. And there will be lots of boardgames. (Well, lots of Munchkin and Small World and Zombie dice and Cthulhu dice)
Also it seems that one of my cuckoo family pictures has been selected for a Daily Deviation

Thank you very much to
And I seem to have a few more watchers so HI!
You'll find a mixture of zoo pictures and wildlife pictures in the gallery. I've visited around...28? Or so zoos, mostly on the west side, 4 on the east. And Yellowstone is pretty much in my backyard being about an hour and 45 minute drive away. So there's some neat stuff uploaded and lots more neat stuff that needs to be uploaded.
I don't know why..but I did some more grouping of the images into the folders you can see on the left. I've now separated the zoo pictures by what zoo they were taken in (West to East North to South....kind of geographical organization of zoos...) And put a folder for domestic and wild animals.
