The Oregon Zoo recently obtained a new eagle owl for their wildlife show. Happened to visit on a concert day so there was no show, but a few of the birds were out for visiting.
She's a ~6-7 month old milky eagle owl and she's super cute.
She wants to look at everything. She's really interested in the vehicles that go by including the train and some large strollers. She enjoys watching the other birds that fly around, which are mostly crows who are less enthused that there is an owl outside. And she likes looking at people's feet.

Any day now she should be getting more of her adult plumage in. So for now she can't really fly in the shows, she just hops from stump to stump on the stage.

She is adorable! I haven't seen her for a bit, she probably has more of her adult plumage now. And is probably still pretty curious.

I noticed that some of the animals at our zoo were very interested in the vehicles. Then I realized that they equate the arrival of a vehicle with the arrival of delivered food so they see vehicles as the bringers of goodies. Like looking for Santa's Sleigh.

The vehicle that drove by the owl was a sort of golf cart that some of the grounds keepers to carry browse or trash bags around when cleaning the grounds.
Almost everything is new to her and it's adorable when she does the head bobby thing.
