One positive note on the Akron zoo is that you could get the chance to get up close to the big cats, and other animals as well.
This jaguar was content to hang out on a high ledge and have a bit of a yawn.

Neat. Too bad I couldn't make it in time to see the babies.
Hoping to go to Washington in hopes that Point Defiance Zoo will have their clouded leopard cubs out and red wolves. I can't remember if their tiger is pregnant again, I don't think she is.
And Woodland park to see baby snow leopards.

Wow, so many big cat kittens! I hope you get to go to those places too, since I doubt I'll be visiting many zoos this summer. I will live vicariously through your shots

I'll be spending some time in California for yet another conference. I think it's the Conservation society, and their theme this year is global climate changes, so they have a LOT of talks on pikas!
So maybe we'll get to visit SFZ and a zoo in Oakland and maybe go further south to see some more sea otters (Seeing sea otter pups would be soo awesome!)
