A male and female silver cheeked hornbill share a walk through aviary at the Pittsburgh Zoo. It's AWESOME. There are lots of trees for the hornbills to hang out in, and the area is pretty big for just housing these two birds.
They were being pretty vocal while we were visiting. I think I noticed a nest box as well. It's possible for these guys to breed in captivity. I remember seeing a family of these guys at the Idaho Falls zoo last year. Here's hoping for babies!

Pictured here is the male.

Thanks!
Hornbills have to be one of my favorite bird species.
And these guys are so adorable! This zoo is amazing for having a walk through aviary with them in it.

:D I try! Been paying more attention to them as of the past year. They're usually what I find while wandering around outside, or tend to be more active than mammals at the zoo.
