Birds do some of the silliest things to get a girl.
I think the tropical birds have to be some of the silliest with their dances.

:O His eye looks like one of those cartoon drawings lol. Is his eyes yellow or black? I thought they where black.

The yellow/white area could be the iris.

OOOh! The males have bright eyes. That's pretty interesting how the males have the bright white/yellow eyes and the females of the same species are dark.

Yep. There's generally a bit of dimorphisim in male and female birds, except for some raptors and corvids (that I can think of off the top of my head). So females and males look a bit different.

Aaah I love brewer's black birds. I fondly refer to them as "parking lot birds" because that's the only time I see them, lol. This photo is awesome, what a look!

I see them hanging out with the starlings at Costco quite often. Found this one at the SF Zoo.

hahaha now this is too funny. he looks like he's having a spaz attack. Is he doing a territorial call or do they do this while vocalizing? This is so cute i was wondering if i might be able to draw this?

He's doing some sort of chirpy call while posing like this. Not sure if it was for mate attraction or defending territory.
Yes you can draw it. I'd love to see it when it's done. This is one of my favorite bird shots just because of the pose.

Animals have such strange ways of attracting attention. And I include humans in that statement.

Couldn't agree more.
Birds have to have some of the more elaborate displays to attract some attention.
