One of five red wolf pups born to parents Graham and Millie (4 boys and one girl). And they are adorable. The tall grass made it difficult to see them sometimes, especially when they were wrestling on the ground, but they did play in an area where the grass was a bit shorter.
First time seeing wolf pups this young (about 2 months old).
PDZA is one of the flagships for the red wolf recovery.
That and it's awesome seeing wolf pups. They're adorable.

Daww, that would be awesome of they could re-join the pack.
I'm actually wondering if the Oregon Zoo's first wolves came from there... I thought I remembered hearing something about that. They were hand raised after all and that's the only place that I know of that hand raises wolf pups.

Hi Dee. I emailed Monty to ask him, as the website doesn't contain information on the older wolves any longer. He just emailed me back. Guess what? You are right! Here is what he said: "Yes, Marcus was Apollo's brother while CeAnn and Kira were Chetan's sisters. At 17, Chetan is the last of any of the 1995 pups still alive." So your zoo had a Wolf Park connection for sure! Isn't that cool?????!!!

That's awesome! I thought I heard something about them coming from wolf park. A different article I saw when Marcus last passed said that the wolves spent their entire lives at the Oregon zoo. Maybe most of it but not all of it >>.
