A number of ravens hang out around the Petrified Forest area in Arizona. They're fairly comfortable around people, probably used to seeing them and not being harassed as often.
This one seems to have quite the fluffed out beard/chest feathers

Common raven
Corvus corax
Petrified Forest National Park, Aizona

I like the eye reflections. Hoping to get a shot in this park with the desert area in the raven's eye.

The 55-300mm for the Nikon. It's not too shabby of a lens.. I am noticing some spots on it that I can't get off. Maybe I need to use the cleaner I have rather than just scrubbing it with a lens cloth.

Maybe that would be better.

Question: Are you working on your photos with Photoshop or do you just put your signature on it with that programm?

I do some touch up in a program called Lightroom (mostly because I shoot in RAW which is a huge photo file) to fix any exposure problems because I'm a spazz if I see a neat animal and I goof on setting the exposure up right. Or do black and white conversions. And I usually convert it for web viewing in Photoshop and add the signature also in photoshop. The heaviest editing I do is taking out people's fingers/heads/shoulders if they get in my shot and rarely do I merge photos together. I'm trying to work on getting a guira cuckoo photo with all four birds looking silly and that is taking a while.

I can sometimes fix those too and if a picture is too light or too dark.
