The zoo parking lot of all places. There were a few crows in a near by tree, and this bird.
Either Cooper's or sharp-shinned. Whatever it is it's a juvenile. Could be why this hawk thought he was all bad ass and would not give way to the crow mobbing. The hawk actually went off after a crow or two.

It's a Cooper's Hawk, the tail is a dead giveaway. Sharp-shinned Hawks have squared tails (when fanned it looks sort of triangular) while Cooper's are rounded (making a clear arc when fanned).

I Was wondering about the tail! I couldn't find any fanned out pictures of the two tails.
Thanks!

One very brave hawk, or could be some lazy crows. There were ~7 crows around the tree the hawk was on, of which only one or two would mob the hawk.

Thanks!
It's always a joy to see raptors. And see raptor/crow interaction play out.

This is a weird angle to try to identify it, but It looks more like a Sharp Shin because of the shorter neck.

I may see if I have a different angle.
