Was about ready to leave the zoo grounds when I peeked into the bear exhibit and saw Takoda in the tree. He seemed to be breaking off branches and attempting to bring them back down but dropped a good few of them where two of the adult bears were munching on the fallen branches. Takoda got a branch for himself and propped himself in the tree and munched on the leaves until he came down to join the other two bears.

There are signs around the exhibit saying that Takoda is just fine in the tree. It's amazing how silly zoo visitors are. Freaking out over a black bear in a tree.

Nope. They're super amazed to see them in the trees and often had no idea they could do that. And all the precaution was taken to make sure that none of the trees he can climb would allow him to jump out of the exhibit. He has a ball climbing the trees

Well I guess that's what zoos are for, to educate the uneducated. And he gets to have a good time too, since that's what he would do anyway!

Sometimes the zoo visitors are as amusing as the animals. The other day I took the lad to the zoo and there were two women infront of us. One was in sneakers and blue jeans with tee-shirt and hoodie and the other in high heals, black dress and big hat. I asked him which was there to watch the animals and which was there to hunt for wild animals. Seriously a zoo build on canyon walls and highheals?? Walking down a 20% grade in heals? A slinky dress on a hot humid day? I asked my lad if she was there to hunt or just be seen. LOL

Yeah I've seen some odd attire. But most is more personality of the visitors who come. I can't stand the teenagers. And there are a number of parents I can't stand either.

It's the ones who dress like they are going to the opening of the races that make me chuckle. Really, our zoo is built on the sides of a freaking canyon, its nothing but hills. For some reason there seems to be a lot of uncaged courgars roaming the zoo. I didn't know it was a pick-up place. Hmmm, I must not be on the menu.
