I've been spotted by DeeOtter I've been spotted by DeeOtter
More wandering around. The red squirrels are active year round while the ground squirrels and some chipmunks will sleep for the winter. These guys will run around and catch up all of the fallen pine cones and make a meal out of them.
This one thinks I may steal his pine cone. I can't climb trees so he's safe....that and I don't think pinecones are very tasty.

Great shot! Captured with his dinner, I guess. We went to a park in Kentucky last weekend and there was this big tree with a large hole in it, so I stopped because I knew there would be squirrels in the area....two of them were right there on the tree but they blended so well with the bark that you couldn't see them if you weren't looking for them....except I WAS looking for them...and my camera found them!!! hee hee hee!

There's a tree right outside my apartment window that has the..I duno what you call that part of the pine cone but the little pines are all broken off of the pine cone and they are everywhere.

I hope that the photo that I took turns out well enough to post...if it did, it should be good...it's like they just froze so that I wouldn't see them....hahahahaha!
