Samudra turned 3 years old August 23rd 2011.
He's a BIG healthy boy, keepers projected that he would weigh 3,000lbs on his birthday. He's a little shy of that weight now, but he'll get there in a day or two.
He hast he beginning of what could be tusks, or they could just be tushes, which are just small tusks that don't grow very long. And he's met his father a few times. Dad doesn't really care much for the kid, but he's not overly aggressive to him. Keepers hope that seeing his dad interact with the girls will teach him how to behave around future females.

They're froze ice treats with lemon-aid/koolaid/crystal lite to give them color and there's pieces of fruit and veggies in them. The little one also got a carrot cake.

There's little fruit bits in them too, apples, melon bits, pears and other. I think they put koolaid in the water to make it freeze different colors.
Sam needed help breaking them to smaller pieces. He's not quite heavy enough to do that.
